Will to live's first time in Mexico!!! We parked our van at our boy Boogie's house on the U.S. side and crossed the border via de int. bridge with a few backpacks full of merch and nothing else. We took a bus to Monterrey, our friends picked us up at the station and the rest is what you hear in this recording.
True to DIY, this is a raw recording straight off the mixing board at the prestigious Café Iguana club in el Barrio Antiguo of Monterrey, Mexico, a venue that has hosted acts such as Paul Di'Anno, Apocalyptica, Anthrax, Sisters of Mercy, Misfits, Marky Ramone, among other national and international acts.
All of the gear we played on was borrowed, and it didn't matter, because the circle pit didn't stop after we hit the first note.
Crowd participation was awesome considering the stage is close to 7 feet tall and with a 3 feet barricade. Still people climbed to singalong and keep that crowd to band experience.
Definitely not our tightest set, but definitely one of the most memorable, and for our drummer at the time, Jose, and I, a dream come true we had talked about since we started our first band in Miami in 1990 13 years earlier: to play a show in Latin America and have it as awesome as this was.
Now after all these years and a struck of luck in my part finding the CD while cleaning my garage, you get to hear it too.

Will to live por primera vez en México !!! Dejamos nuestra van en la casa de nuestro camarada Boogie en el lado estadounidense y cruzamos la frontera a través de puente internacional con algunas mochilas llenas de playeras y CDs para vender y nada más. Tomamos un autobús a Monterrey, nuestros camaradas pasaron por nosotros en la estación y el resto es lo que escuchas en esta grabación.
Fiel al espíritu DYI, esta es una grabación cruda directamente de la mesa mezclas en el prestigioso club Café Iguana en el Barrio Antiguo de Monterrey, México. Lugar que ha presentado actos como Paul Di'Anno, Apocalyptica, Anthrax, Sisters of Mercy, Inadaptados, Marky Ramone, entre otros actos nacionales e internacionales.
Todo el equipo con el que tocamos fue prestado, y en verdad no importó, porque el “circle pit” no se detuvo después de tocar la primera nota. La participación de la audiencia fue impresionante teniendo en cuenta que el escenario tiene cerca de 2 metros de altura y una barricada de casi un metro. Aún así, la gente escalaba para cantar y mantener esa conexión audiencia y banda.
Definitivamente no es nuestra presentación más precisa, pero definitivamente una de las más memorables. Además que para nuestro baterista en ese momento, José y yo, esta noche fue un sueño hecho realidad con el que habíamos soñado desde que comenzamos nuestra primera banda en Miami en 1990 13 años antes: tocar en un concierto en América Latina y que fuese tan increíble de bueno como este.
Ahora, después de todos estos años y un golpe de suerte de mi parte al encontrar el CD mientras limpiaba mi garaje, también puedes escucharlo.
